Our First Horse

I think that is so sweet! Some women would rather have candy, flowers, or jewelry; others a horse or anything horse related. That would be me!

Well thanks guys. I must admit there was a moment there where I started thinking “am I a dork for doing this?” but who cares what the naysayers think. Mikki loved it and that’s all that mattered.

I didn’ t get a horse this year for Christmas, but when I was probably 9/10ish my dad got me a horse for Christmas. I remember being disapointed in the days leading up to Christmas because as I looked under the tree, there was only the expected gifts (you know socks, underwear that you can tell what they are by the way they were wrapped) and I did not have many presents under the tree. On the day of Christmas there was this big box that suddenly appeared for me from my parents and inside it was a new pair of cowboy boots and an envelope with a card that my dad made and a polaroid of my new Morgan gelding that was waiting for me out in the barn. My dad had wrote this letter as if it was from the horse and it was the sweetest thing ever. Especially since my dad is a very hard cowboy and not one to wear his heart on his sleeve. Unfortunately Bounty and I did not work well together and we ended up trading him a few months later but it’s the thought that counts and I think that Christmas will always stick out in my mind as the best one ever!

I also didn’t get a horse ^^, but I believe that horse is great gift on christmas and other holidays
