The CD winner is…d2cmom!

We assigned each post a number (sorry, Lisa – your two posts only counted as one entry) and had the Kid draw a number out of a hat. Number 8 was drawn, and the eighth post was d2cmom.

So congratulations, and contact us soon so we can send your new CD!

Thanks to all of you for posting. We enjoyed all the posts – they were some very good stories, and interesting thoughts. We hope you’ll keep them coming, even without a contest.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

About Bill

Long-winded horse newbie, aspiring amateur barrel racer and cowboy mounted shooter. Bill has a "horse problem" and regularly wears a t-shirt that reminds him "I don't need another horse." A favorite quote is from John Wayne: "Courage is being scared but saddling up anyway," which pretty much describes how he feels every time he gets on a horse.

  1. Congrats to the winner :)

Oh! And please forgive me for not deleting that second post. The first post hadn’t shown up, so I posted the second time, but forgot to remove the original post when I saw that it finally went through. Where did it go, though? Who knows. lol!
I promise I wasn’t trying to sneak in an extra post!! :P

    Happy Holidays!

You guys have a great blog going! I found it through Lynda Polks’ Hoofbeats blog. Keep up the good work!

I’ve been reading blogs because I’m trying to learn more about the horses nominated for USEF’s “Horse of the Year” award. I love horse and I’m a huge Arabian horse fan, I had to go with Adams Fire. What a beautiful animal! Her is half Arabian, half DHH and there are four continents in his first generation. He is smart and responsive – very Arabian – but he is ALL American in his “melting pot” background.

You should vote! You’ll love him and the awards event!

What’s going on with your horses and riding? You haven’t told us in a while.

I just saw his mention here so I thought I would share.

I was just on Facebook and discovered Adams Fire’s fan page. You should join. I wonder if other horses have one of these. It’s pretty neat.

    Check it out here:
