As promised, here is Moonshine’s new fly mask, modeled by our very own Bill. Yes, he’s driving our truck.

Hopefully Moonshine will look as good.

About Mikki

Born and raised in Arizona...lived in the city for 25 years after growing up. Moved to a tiny little town in east Tennessee in 2005 and somehow ended up with 5 dogs, 2 cats, 4 chickens, 3 goats and, of course, 4 horses. Lovin' the country life!

Wow, it doesn’t look as good as I thought it would. Oh well. Incidentally I can attest to how well you can see out of these things. I could have driven the entire way home just fine, though I only had it on for less than a minute. I could read the signs, all my gauges. It’s kind of like looking out of a screen door. You can see just fine but it looks semi-opaque from the other side.

I no longer have a problem with our horses wearing these during the day.

  2. Laura says:

As Paris Hilton would say, “HOT!” LOL!

  3. Lynda says:

But what’s it like after you’ve rolled in the mud and rubbed your cheeks against ground? :)

  4. Bill says:

Haha, well I didn’t try rolling in the mud! We had some rain the other day and didn’t see any mud on the fly masks, though both of our horses were covered in it. It’s only a matter of time before they goop up a mask so we’ll have to watch for it.

  5. Lisa says:

Man! That is a little bit frightening!
Reminds me a bit of the “Jason” horror movie mask! Ack!

I wonder what those who drove by, and perhaps got a look at you and your fancy face mask, were thinking!

  6. Bill says:

I was wondering the same thing, Lisa. And it does look like a horror film type mask or some weird fetish. I’ll be glad when this post makes it past the front page so I don’t have to look at that anymore, LOL. :-)
